Friday Favorites: bareMinerals

Friday Favorites: bareMinerals
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This week, let's switch it up to Friday Favorites! I bring to you bareMinerals. I purchased the bareMinerals "Try. Believe. Love." kit from Ulta a few weeks ago during the Beauty Steals for $10 instead of $20. This was perfect because I've always wanted to give these products a try but strayed away because I wasn't sure if I'd get the bang for my buck. So I found this trial kit to be the perfect way to test it out. So this is what I got...

The six-piece kit includes:
- 0.03 oz Original SPF 15 Foundation
- 0.03 oz Matte SPF 15 Foundation
- 0.03 oz Mineral Veil Finishing Powder in Original
- 0.02 oz Multi-tasking SPF 20 Concealer
- Mini Full Flawless Face Brush
- Mini Concealer Brush

Friday Favorites: bareMinerals

Okay, so let's hash it out right now.

Pros: As you can see, these are quite small but they pack a powerful punch, and do result in "total complexion perfection." The concealer works great! It concealed my blemishes and had my face looking flawless. Next was the bareMinerals foundation. I used the original formula, and in my opinion, it works wonders! It provides great coverage without feeling caked on. I have yet to try the matte formula seeing that my skin is more on the dry side this season. Last but not least, the mineral veil. I'd say it serves as a great translucent/finishing powder.

Cons: I found that the product was a tad bit on the messy side. Sometimes I would be left with some residue on the counter after the application process. Then again, it could be because mine are so small. I also wish that this trial kit came with a formula that delivered warmth.

Note: The application process is pretty important. Swirl in the cap, tap off excess powder, and apply it in a circular/buffing motion - this is the ideal way to apply it.

In the End: What I love most about the bareMinerals line is how it feels on my face. It's super light and feels so natural, it's like you're not even wearing any make up at all! Even though these sample sizes are small, a little bit goes a long way! In my opinion, it's totally worth it.

What do you use to get your face looking flawless? Let me know!
